Not a bad recording from the soundtrack of a white trash biker film from 1969.
It's been awhile since I've listened to it. Heres what I remember about it... Title song performed by hillbilly cracker legend Tammy Wynette tells story of motorcycle thug with violent temper/heart of gold by describing her own personal devotion towards her dangerously flawed and smelly yet lovable man!
If I'm not mistaken he's either on the run from a murder rap or is being pursued by someone intent upon murdering his ass. I'm not sure, I haven't seen the film.
Either way, the recording from the soundtrack of this booze and LSD laced weekend drive-in classic is all good!
Composer Stu Phillips aka "Stu Who", took the opportunity to skin and gut big game by offering an enjoyable half hour of damn good listening if you happen to be fond of hard ass blues rock, fucky stomp your ass into the mud electrified madness gone big screen soundtrack!
Tough ass stuff within the grooves of this American vinyl classic produced for the Epic label and released in 1969! *****
