Sid and Nancy= Love Kills
Though iam not a fan of the movie considering the lies it holds i enjoy this cd alot. It's just good quality music, a bit of romance as well. I especially enjoyed Joe Strummer's songs (of course i would since he's from the Clash). My two favorite songs on it though are "Haunted" by the Pogues & "Love Kills" by the Circle Jerks. i wouldn't recommend this if u are a Punk & are weirded out by different types of music but if u're open to other types of music buy Sid and Nancy.

pure 80's
Pure 80's music. Great soundtrack to a great movie!

Amazing soundtrack to an amazing film
"Sid and Nancy" eulogizes punk rocks's mythologized Romeo and Juliet in a amazing soundtrack deftly combining 3 seperate chunks: more mainstream songs by punk contemporaries (such as Joe Strummer of the Clash and Sid's former Sex Pistols band mate, Steve Jones); haunting, surreal instrumentals by the Pogues and Pray for Rain; and Sid Vicious tributes (by Californian punkers the Circle Jerks and Gary Oldman's dead-on impressions of 2 Sid "standards"). The blend is perfect.

Ironically, the music for the most part, isn't punk at all and would be shunned by most punks for being mostly too soft, mainstream and weak. But if your tastes extend beyond hardcore's narrow focus, this is a journey well worth taking. The only regret is not including the Ramones Sid & Nancy tribute, also called 'Love Kills', which would fit right in with Sex Pistols-type punk.

Check out "Sid and Nancy" the movie; as well as the lesser soundtracks to 'Repo Man' and 'Sububia'.
