Needs a better release than this.

Delta Force 2 may be a very bottom of the top kinda action film but it has one hell of a good score. Frederic Talgorn gives us several strong themes and loads of great action cues that elevates the film higher than it deserves.

But the Alhambra release of the score my be welcome, as it's the only release the score has had, but it's not exactly brilliant.

The music from the film is split into 3 tracks. The first is a long suite of the orchestral score featuring all the cues and themes one will be familiar with. The second track is the song 'Winds of Change' featured at the end of the film. And the third is a synthesizer suite featuring all of the electronic music. It's not the most practical arrangement of the score that's for sure.

I do with a bigger studio like Varese Sarabande or Intrada would release the COMPLETE score in the correct order and with the song at the end. I have no idea why Alhambra didn't bother to do this but it's better than nothing.

Delta Force 2 really is one of those great film scores that you've never heard.
