Music To Burn Rubber By!

One of the few great funk soundtrack albums where the film is as good as the music. Steve McQueen in top form - Lalo Schifrin in top form too. A superb album, with a heavy beats jazz sound. The rhythms are uniquely Schifrin, a perfect blend of funk, pop and jazz. The main theme is a classic with its strong, driving bassline. The rest of the album is as consistent. Schifrin & McQueen are perfect together. . . the very personification of cool!
