Meh,

Pino Donaggio has done some very nice horror scores over the years, like "Piranha" and "The Howling", but there really isn't anything that noteworthy to be found with "Meridian". Like many low-budget horror films of it's day, there are many trademarks that date the score--obviously synthesized choral arrangements, dated electronic effects, etc.
There are a few noteworthy tracks here, like the gentle and lush "Beast To the Rescure" or the final track, "Kill The Beast", with its evocative string passages, but there's nothing here truly outstanding, nothing GREAT or remarkable about this score. Collectors who can find it at cheap prices may want it. Otherwise, for a real example of how 80's B-films should be scored, go for Richard Band's work, i.e. "Troll", "From Beyond", "Laserblast", etc.
