Absolute Abandon
by
Shawn Watson (February 7, 2004)
It's a more mature and accomplished work than Myst but listening to Riven is like being actually transported to that world. For me this is cool, and I must stress, once you stick this CD into your system your living room will suddenly feel as deserted and lonely as Riven itself.

If you like feelings of absolute abandon then go for it. It also helps you to relax after a hard day. It may not be very melodic, substituting theme for atmosphere, but the Myst jingle is still in there.

Riven is pure mood music. Playing this CD will instantly change your feelings and thoughts. You must buy, it's not just for fans of the game. The CD lasts about 55 minutes and comes an a worryingly flimsy cardboard/plastic case and contains a small booklet featuring archaeological information of D'Ni with several cool looking pictures.
