Strong work from Shore, by Alex (August 28, 2006)
This somber score to David Cronenberg's 1999 sci-fi thriller "eXistenZ" is some of shore's best work since 1986's "The Fly" (also directed by Cronenberg). This score is very somber and repetitive--all the tracks are various orchestral arrangements of the main theme, which is established in "eXistenZ- by Antenna"--but this theme is so strong that the album rides off of it quite easily. This is a very good listen, definitely recommended to anyone looking for a more unorthodix score or fans of Shore's work. It holds up quite well without the film.
