Great soundtrack

Most people will agree that the actual film was a bit of a "let down" to all us JAWS fans but one of it's strong points was the amazing score by the talented Michael Small !! His reworking of the famous JAWS theme is a great homage to the original and his various compositions really capture the mood of the film and compliment the wonderful Bahamian locale..
Unfortunately this brilliant score never received a propr release but it is well worth tracking down the limited edition promo release

I agree with you 100%, Michael Small's score is awesome. Sadly, the Godzilla-roaring-circus-shark that could stand on its tail detracted people from fully appreciating Michael Small's composing efforts. My favorite is the romantic-adventure theme that is played when Hoagie asks Ms. Brody to take over airplane steering duties; this same theme is repeated during the ending credits. Actually, I think the music from Jaws sequels were better than the original, with "Jaws 2" being the best. Ironic, since with each sequel the movies got worse, but the shark music got better. This is how I would rate them from 1 to 4:

1. Jaws 2
2. Jaws 3
3. Jaws the Revenge
4. Jaws

Let's hope that someone out there releases the entire Jaws the Revenge and Jaws 3 soundtrack on CD. Or how about a double-CD set with both recordings from Jaws 3 and Jaws the Revenge. To Varese, La La Land, Perseverence, any of you want re-release these scores before they all "go under the boat?"

Best,
Jeremy

I agree.
Jaws: the Revenge was a great score. I really like smallĀ“s take on john williams original shark-themes.
my personal esteem of the jaws scores, however, goes as this:

jaws 2
jaws: the revenge
jaws
jaws 3D
