Why I want the Bill Conti soundtrack for "The Big Blue"

I have been looking for this for DECADES after seeing it repeatedly in
American movie houses and falling in love with Bill Conti's gorgeous
music. So when it was released on VHS I immediately bought it, as I did
when it was released on DVD, and at first was thrilled because the DVD
had the rare feature of "Isolated Music Score," where the only audio is
the music. But I got quite a shock when I discovered that they had
restored the original soundtrack by Eric Serra, which I had never heard
before, and all I can say is that the thrilling magic of Conti's sweeping
score was sorely missed. Indeed, I found myself pulling out the VHS
tape rather than watching the DVD with a totally uninteresting
soundtrack. Years later I "burned" a CD-R with 21 minutes of music
from the VHS tape, certainly an imperfect solution to my problem, but
it's better than nothing. So I continue to search for this elusive wonder
of film music. Anybody else love Conti's "Big Blue"???
