What's going on at the Super Collector website?!

If you want to see something really scary look at the forum at the Super Collector website! What is going on there, and why aren't people getting their orders? Have they went out of buisness? When I first found their site I was scared off from ordering there by the very same forum in which customers were abused and told "to shop elsewhere" when all they were doing was inquiring about their orders! A few months ago, I decieded to give them the benefit of the doubt so I ordered Goblin's Profondo Rosso expanded CD from their website. After about 2 weeks I tried to contact them via email and got no reply and so I decieded to call them directly. The "salesman" I spoke to told me that they sent me an email telling me that the item was not in stock (they use this same excuse on their forum, telling people they "sent them an email telling them it was out of stock") which I never recieved. They didn't have the CD so I cancelled my order. It seems that some of their customers were not so lucky as I was in getting in touch with them. I also noticed that they seemed to have stopped selling stuff on eBay. Does anybody know any details on their status? They seemed to have stopped answering posts in their forum about a month ago.

Well,

I would guess that they make enough money with other merchandises so they just don´t care about soundtracks anymore.
Of course, that´s stupid but ever since Mike Joffe left SuperTracks there seems to be nobody with a decent knowledge / dedication - too bad.

Happy easter,

Michael

I also had a horrible experience with Super Collector. I, too, never received an order I had placed. No responses from my email inquiries. I finally got someone on the phone, and he was extremely rude, and finally told me that they did not have the CD listed on their site, and to shop somewhere else. I will NEVER do business with them again.

Another distributor to avoid is "Forced Exposure". Bad service,.No phone contact number. Orders shipped out wrong ( Was once sent a recording I did not order in place of one I did).
Items listed as new sent used with serious flaws and damage.
Not a good place to buy music.

IT'S A FRAUD. The company is out of business. Look at their homepage to the forum. I made my first posting in January at Soundtrack Collector about the problems. I hope many of you friends avoided to order anything (I have been still waiting for my last order since november 2003).

As an international customer, I ordered stuff from them a few times, last time being in January when they sent a discount code by mail, and the service was always fine. However I usually only get CDs and promos from their label (hence no availability problem) and shop elsewhere for anything else, because I suspect the on-line order form is not secure.

It' s becoming more and more strange with Super Collector. One of their part time employees posted a few stupid explanations on May, 9th, and the posting for anybody else has been terminated.

Now the Homepage of Supercollector is gone!!

Well, the sites there now (June 7th), and some guy was fielding complaints on their forum. I dunno, some seem legit, some other people had their stuff show up. This person was there day after day saying prove we're a fraud, I'm here to help. This was up until May 9th, since then no messages by anybody. He explained they were moving to another location, which seems kinda foolish if you ask me. Why try and sell stuff through the net as you're moving and trying to get settled?? Of course things are going to fall behind. Their eBay feedback is scary, they don't respond to the negatives.

The thing with Super Collector is that it's run by like four guys in a dumpy little shop in a trashy town (hence the nickname, Garbage Grove). I happen to live ten minutes from their one location and have been in many times. Yocals behind the counter laughing at the top of their lungs or cussing to each other. I got my Big Trouble in Little China CD out of there a couple years ago, and the place seemed ok. But their half-assed bungling of their online biz will lead to certain fraud problems in the future.

Actually guys, I never had a problem...

I ordered Pitch Black/Bride of Chucky promo by Graeme Revell and within a
couple days they shipped it. I recieved it much faster than I had expected.
They aren't a fraud... or at least they weren't because I got my cd, but i'm
surprised that they were rude to you - thats very unprofessional.

I used to go into their store in Garden Grove on a regular basis to rent anime or Hong Kong movies. I never once had a problem with their in house service. They'd even order stuff for me. But at that time I don't beleive they even had an online store. Everything seemed normal untill one day I went to their store found that they had moved to some dump in Santa Ana which was not easy to find. I went their and they couldn't even rent movies to me so I knew they were going out of business. It's too bad because for the longest time they were the only place that I could get anime from in the late 90's. They had a good run and it's a shame but I will miss them.
