Planes trains and automobiles (my nightmare continues)
Hi all
I know this ones hard to come by. Last time i saw it on ebay it was up for $58.
My query is in relation to two of the tracks on it. Before anyone goes bonkers yes I've done some internet research and have drawn a blank in regards my queries. (glad this site has installed the new marker/warning to do personal research initially as opposed to just posting questions on here willy nilly)
Anyway i am after the INSTRUMENTAL THEME for 'Power to believe' like which is on the movie but unfortunatly i am reliably informed that the one on the soundtrack is not the one from the movie and has lyrics all over it.
Secondly shortly after this peice of music a song called 'everytime you go away kicks in' The version of this song is really hard to find and is instrumental for ages right up until the point when Del Griffith (Good ol' John Candy) says 'hello Mrs Page' at which point a women begins singing the song. From the soundtrack listing on the IMDB this song isn't listed on the soundtrack. There are loads of versions of this song easily avaliable but none are the one from the movie. I really like the bit when Steve Martin first speaks to his wife when she is stood on the stairs and the instrumental theme to everytime you go away is going 'der der der der' before a short pause before repeating itself. Great theme.
Any ideas where i can get these versions of the songs as they appear on the film??
I was put onto a site called ioffer some months back which has this soundtrack amongst many other rare soundtracks for sale but some of the soundtracks on this site are copies - is this a reliable site??

Coma, thanks for the very quick reply.
I watched the end of the movie earlier and its definantly a woman singing the song and not Paul Young. I looked at the end credits of the film and although i can't make out who the singer is due to the bad quality of the video tape as the credits are rolling it definantly doesn't say Paul Young.

coma - thanks mate I've put in a starting bid of £10 to get the ball rolling. It'll go for more than that though!
Anyone know if ioffer is a good site??

The closest i ever got to an instrumental version of Power to believe was this site ....

You have to have a yahoo email address first and then you have to join this site. If you don't join the site you cannot click the 'files' icon/word and then listen to the theme which incidentally is a slice and dice job which made me cringe as it was pretty bad. Hey atleast someone has had a go at creating the instrumental theme. And no you can't download it from the site, not that you'd want to anyway.

Has anyone been able to track down that instrumental version of "Power to Believe"?
Dying to get a copy of this - happy to help any way I can...
Thanks!

wow - 4 years after I asked the question and people still answer ... cool.
Cheers for reply but this site is asking for money for downloads ..... I don't know it so don't trust it ... plus it doesn't say wether it's the instrumental I'm after (Like on the movie) or the original song .. which is easy to find.
