If this is true, I think it's the first release of this score on CD.

According to Soundtrack Collector Warner Bros. has released some sort of a soundtrack CD for this movie bjerva.
Even though no music tracks have been submitted by any of the members who have this CD soundtrack I would assume it is the score since the Warner Bros. LP releases are score music as well.
Perhaps just perhaps, infamous Harkit will release this one again???
We'll just have to wait and see.

I found some more information about this release and posted it at my blog; http://www.soundtrackblog.com/

Nice blog Hans!
So Collector's Choice Music it is. It is even listed on their website for $12.95. I hope the release is of excellent sound quality all the way this time around. There were some minor sound quality problems on The Witches Of Eastwick release if you recall.

Thanx serifiot.

I remember the minor mishaps with the WoE release, indeed. Let's hope they have done some ground work in improving the quality this time. My larges fear is that this lable will release "awaited" releases, only to do a "flat" copy of the LP.

Most likely... but I have to admit that their Witches Of Eastwick release excluding the minor sound quality faults in one of the tracks (I forget which one) which are barely audible was overall okay, sound quality wise I mean. Don't you think?

What source was Witches recorded from? Was the source a master recording the way it is supposed to be or was an LP or CD source used?

I wonder if the bitches have corrected the problem on The Witches of Eastwick soundtrack. I doubt it. Perhaps I should call them. Never got around to it. I wonder if they have even noticed.

Well... anyway, let us be hopeful that the sound quality of this Three Amigos release will be fantastic!

What about the Three Amigos CD listed in Soundtrack Collector? Hmmm...

Yeah, I agree. The quality on WoE is good, and I do not know the origin of the release, if it were the master etc. (I have only had the pleasure of hearing a mp3 rip of it yet, but a copy has been in the mail for a few days, pending arrival in Norway) My point was just this; the label seems to release a large variety of releases, but mostly 30s-80s re-releases of things like Dean Martin, Barry Manilow, Elvis etc.. These are release I do not believe have the highest level of quality to it, and my worry, in this case, is if this label start to release directly-of-the-LP releases for titles you and I have been longing for, rather than having Intrada, Varese or FSM releasing them; people we know have the love and dedication for this, and want's to deliver what we want and to the quality the release deserves. (Deep breath, now) ;)

I hope, indeed, I am wrong. Rumors already has it that this is "directly of the LP" release. Let's hope it's better than that. On the other hand, a "pretty good" release is indeed better than no release at all!

Exactly, some type of release is better then nothing so let us again hope SCC will do an overall good job this time around with no funny sounds!

Perhaps one of the few soundtrack labels we all are familiar and trustworthy of and dedicated in releasing soundtrack scores should have grabbed or should grab the so called rights and make a nice job of the *Three Amigos* the way it is meant to be from original masters with nice inserts and the whole works.

Wow, this is the greatest soundtrack-related news that I've heard so far this year. I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! When I was a kid, my friends and I watched this movie so many times that to this day I can still recite the entire film line for line. I've already pre-ordered a copy from CCMusic, and according to their shopping cart, the CD should ship within 2-3 days...however, I have a feeling it'll take a bit longer than that. Is it even ready for release yet???

Good news indeed. Can't wait for this one. The music where the Amigos are stealing their costumes and suiting up is vintage Bernstein. Powerful stuff!

A.N. whenever you receive the soundtrack, hopefully in due time, could you please inform us on the sound quality and the overall production.
Wishfully there will be no funny sounds as in the ''Witches Of Eastwick'' release.

Thanks in advance!... ;- )
