Hello.
The CD you are looking for is really good, but you should know it is not the original soundtrack. The CD contains a suite from THE GO-BETWEEN arranged for harp, hapschicord and orchestra by Michel Legrand. The harp is performed by Catherine Michel and the harpschicord by Legrand himself.
If you are interested in the original score, I recommend the "Universal France" 4 CD box entitled LE CINÉMA DE MICHEL LEGRAND, wich features a five minute lenghty piece from that film performed by two pianos (M. Legrand and Robert Noble). It's the original score, although not the original recording. It was re-recorded in 1979, but as far as I know is the only original score recording available.
Anyway, the "Audivis" CD contains great music: LES PARAPLUIES DE CHERBOURG, SUMMER OF 42, YENTL and THE GO-BETWEEN, everyone arranged for Catherine Michel's harp.
Best regards,
Angel

Hi Mathew,
The one you are thinking of is the soundtrack recorded in London by the London Philharmonic Orchestra in the late 1970's. The album was titled "Les Parapluies de Cherbourg" but on the "B" side is a wonderful compilation of "The Go Between" ("Le Messager") with Michel Legrand on the piano with, I think, John Noble. There is a CD but it is only availably outside Europe (America, Japan etc). Lucky you if you live in the states!! I'm still trying to get the CD!
Best wishes,
Christie

Hi Matthew,
I happen to have the LONDON SYMPHONY RECORDING of both suites. It just so happens that I was recording as a computer file this evening. I won't be holding onto the LP for much longer. It's in fairly pristene condition with four or five pops (no scratches). If you're interested in the LP itself, let me know.
