Silva Screen's Film Music Masterworks
22-May-2006 - Silva Screen has launched a new super mid-price series Film Music Masterworks. The first CD, Film Music By John Barry, is a collection by the UK’s most acclaimed and prolific film composer, John Barry. With close to 140 scores to his name, this collection cherry picks some of his finest work including Zulu, You Only Live Twice and Midnight Cowboy. All selections are performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Nic Raine and featuring the Crouch End festival Chorus.
The second CD, Film Music By Ennio Morricone, includes a collection of world famous Maestro Ennio Morricone. With over 550 scores to his name this selection highlights some of his finest moments including music from Once Upon A Time In The West, Once Upon A Time In America and Cinema Paradiso, al performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and the Crouch End Festival Chorus, conducted by Paul bateman, Derek Wadsworth, Nic Raine and James Fitzpatrick.
This Film Music Masterworks series will provide the perfect entry point to the music of cinema’s greatest composers.
