Thomas Morse's The Sisters
25-Jun-2006 - MovieScore Media, Mikael Carlsson's internet label, devoted to make high quality film music available using new digital technology. The latest release is a surprising one of composer Thomas Morse - a former student of Jerry Goldsmith. His beautiful, emotional and wonderfully melodic orchestral score for Arthur Allan Seidelman's drama The Sisters, inspired by the famous Chekhov novel, is a subtle, yet highly involving musical study in emotional colours, carefully orchestrated and constructed around a number of strong themes. Director Arthur Allan Seidelman says about the music: "Thomas Morse's hauntingly elegant score fulfills the highest purpose of a motion picture score: it captures and crystallizes all of the emotional subcurrents in each scene."
