New from Digitmovies
30-Sep-2006 - Digitmovies in Italy goes on releasing classic Italian scores, like Sette Note In Nero (aka The Psychic), directed in 1977 by Lucio Fulci. To realize this CD, every track was completely remixed by using stereo multitracks of the original session because the mixed master tapes of the complete score by Bixio - Frizzi - Tempera did not exist anymore.
The next one Il Gatto Dagli Occhi Di Giada, with music by Trans Europa Express, goes away from the thematics of the Argento Giallo in vogue in those years, for the originality of the plot; an eyewitness of a crime is threatened from a merciless assassin who ‘s killing the members of a popular jury that had made to condemn an innocent... but the truth will reveal itself to be an other.
Digitmovies proudly presents the complete score by Carlo Rustichelli for Kapò, directed in 1960 by Gillo Pontecorvo. For this story of Edith, a young jewish girl, who's locked up in a nazi prison camp, and after assuming the new identity as Nicole becomes a ”Kapo”, a prisoner’s guard working for the Germans, Carlo Rustichelli has written a symphonic score based on a classic style adagio for harpsichord, that is alternated from melancholic to mysterious themes to represent all the gloomy and sad atmosphere of the prison camp.
