New from Varèse Sarabande
19-Sep-2007 - The calls for a soundtrack release to the blockbuster Fox television show Prison Break have now been answered by Varèse Sarabande. Ramin Djawadi's music for the first two thrilling seasons of Prison Break has now been gathered together for this CD. It's the story of Michael Scofield who will do anything to get in the Fox River Penitentiary, instead of out. His brother Lincoln has been sentenced to die for a crime he did not commit, and the only way to save him is from the inside out. The second one is a gritty, fast-paced action thriller, Shoot 'Em Up kicks into high gear with a memorable opening scene and never relents. Mr. Smith, a mysterious loner who teams up with an unlikely ally to protect a newborn baby from a determined criminal who hunts them throughout the bowels of the city. Former Tangerine Dream member Paul Haslinger contributes a wildly aggressive score. The third one from Varèse Sarabande, Balls Of Fury, plays in the unsanctioned, underground and unhinged world of extreme Ping-Pong, where the competition is brutal and the stakes are deadly. Down-and-out former professional Ping-Pong phenom Randy Daytona (Tony Award winner Dan Fogler) is sucked into this maelstrom when FBI Agent Rodriguez (George Lopez) recruits him for a secret mission. The inspirational and exotic score is by Randy Edelman, who has previous served up rousing Asian-influenced scores for films like Dragon and Shanghai Noon.
Prison Break, Shoot 'Em Up and Balls Of Fury are available from Amazon.com.
