2 New Georges Delerue releases
3-May-2008 - DCM Classique has released two unique releases with music by Georges Delerue. This compilation focusing on the piano offers new versions of film music themes like Un Monsieur De Compagnie, Le Roi De Coeur, and Un Autre Vie, that have aged well and can deservedly be called classic. All of them were composed for the French cinema of the 1960's and the 70's, an extremely fruitful period in Georges Delerue's long career. The second release, Les Plus Beaux Thèmes Pour La Flûte Et Le Hautbois, is played by Patrick Healey, flutes and piccolo,  Hélène Déry, oboe and English horn and Ensemble En-le-vent et Compagnie. This compilation focuses on two favorite instruments of the composer, offering new versions of film music, like L'Autre Femme, Jules Et Jim, Guy De Maupassant and Agnes Of God, that can deservedly be called classic. The En-le-vent ensemble et compagnie gathers nine of Quebec’s finest musicians, who were also responsible for the arrangements for the fifteen selections of the album.
