New from La-La Land Records...
23-Mar-2009 - La-La Land Records presents 3 new releases for March 31. The first one is the remastered, expanded release of composer Shirley Walker’s magnificent orchestral score to the 1993 Warner Bros. feature film Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm. Remastered and expanded, (more than 27 minutes longer than the original CD release), this is the definitive version of Shirley's amazing score. The CD features two bonus tracks. A twenty page CD booklet includes exclusive, in-depth liner notes. This is a limited edition of only 3000 copies.
The second one is a classic and for the first time on CD: the original motion picture score to the 1970 AIP drama, Wuthering Heights, starring Timothy Dalton and Anna Calder-Marshall. Acclaimed composer Michel Legrand (Ice Station Zebra, Yentl, The Thomas Crown Affair, Atlantic City) brings this well-regarded film version of the classic tale to life with a gorgeous orchestral score. This is the original album presentation, with the addition of a previously unreleased track, digitally remastered from the original 1/4" stereo tapes from the MGM vaults. The CD booklet contains exclusive in-depth liner notes covering the film and its score. This is a limited edition of only 1200 copies.
And then there is composer Joseph LoDuca’s (Evil Dead trilogy, The Messengers, The Librarian 1-3) delightfully terrifying orchestral score to the hit 2005 motion picture Boogeyman, produced by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert. Rich in theme and atmosphere, LoDuca’s horror genre experience shines once again in this dynamic orchestral score. The CD booklet features exclusive liner notes. This is a limited edition of 1500 copies. Pre-order now and get your CD autographed by composer Joseph LoDuca at no additional charge. Autographs are first come, first serve and are not guaranteed.
