Christopher Young's Drag Me To Hell
16-Aug-2009 - Lakeshore Records has released the intriguing score for Drag Me To Hell. Christine Brown has a good job, a great boyfriend, and a bright future. But in three days, she's going to hell. She is a loan officer, who has been ordered to evict an old woman from her home. Then she finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse, which turns her life into a living hell. Desperate, she turns to a seer to try and save her soul, while evil forces work to push her to a breaking point. Christopher Young has written an impressive orchestral score that reminds of his gothic orchestral forces of the opening cue from Hellraiser II, combined with the string-based soaring beauty of Murder in the First, and the choral inventiveness of Bless The Child. "The entire score album plays like a compilation of all that is good about  what he has composed until now, but one which never resorts to self-reference. Everything is heightened, bettered, and taken to the next step, always fresh and inventive."
