Sherlock: Season One
25-Nov-2010 -

“Smart, exciting, and just the right
level of confusing. I want more”
(The Guardian)

This November, the BBC introduced a fresh, new
interpretation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most
famous detective series in the DVD and Blu-ray

Penned by Doctor Who scribes Steven Moffat
(Steven Spielberg's upcoming Tintin, Jekyll,
Coupling) and Mark Gatiss (The League
of Gentlemen), Sherlock is a fast-paced,
edgy, contemporary series which manages
to maintain the original spirit of the
literary crime-solving icon. Fresh from the
war in Afghanistan, a chance encounter
brings Dr. John Watson (Martin Freeman,
The Office, The Hitchhikers Guide to the
Galaxy) into the life of the enigmatic detective
Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch,
Atonement, The Last Enemy).
The two men couldn’t be more different,
but Sherlock’s dazzling leaps of intellect
and John’s down-to-earth pragmatism
balance each other perfectly, and they
soon forge an unbreakable alliance.

Premiering Sundays on PBS’s Masterpiece

Sherlock: Season One follows the iconic
duo on three thrilling, feature-length
mysteries as they navigate a maze of
cryptic clues and lethal killers to get
at the truth. This 2-disc set contains

featurette Unlocking Sherlock, and
