Tom à La Ferme
From Quartet Records comes this March Tom à La Ferme, a new film directed by Xavier Dolan. It's a psychological thriller, based on a play written by Michel Marc Bouchard. The plot is about Tom, a young advertising copywriter, who travels to the country for a funeral. There he's shocked to find out no one knows who he is, nor who he was to the deceased, whose brother soon sets the rules of a twisted game. In order to protect the family's name and grieving mother, Tom now has to play the peacekeeper in a household whose obscure past bodes even greater darkness for his "trip" to the farm. The music has been composed by prestigious Oscar-winning composer Gabriel Yared, who provides a mixture of lyrical, romantic and intense thriller score.

Ocho Apellidos Ascos
Also in March comes the new film score of Fernando Velázquez, Ocho Apellidos Ascos, a romantic comedy directed by Emilio Martínez Lázaro about the love conflicts between an andalusian young man and a basque girl. Performed by the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the composer, who provides a new and fresh sound that is really different from his horror and adventure scores.

Patrick
In April Quartet Records will release the new haunting and scary score composed by Pino Donaggio for the remake of the 1978 classic Australian horror movie Patrick, directed by Mark Hartley (director of the cult documentary "Not Quite Hollywood: The Wild, Untold Story of Ozploitation!"), and starring Charles Dance, Sharni Vinson, Jackson Gallaguer and Rachel Griffiths . The music is performed by The CIty of Prague Philarmonic Orchestra under the baton of Natale Massara.

The Two Faces Of January
Also in April comes The Two Faces Of January, based on the popular novel by Patricia Highsmith, directed by Hossein Amini, and starring Viggo Mortensen and Kirsten Dunst. The classy, darkness and highly emotional score has been composed and conducted by Alberto Iglesias (three times Oscar nominee for The Constant Gardener, The Kite Runner and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy), and usual composer for the Pedro Almodóvar films (La piel que habito, Los amantes pasajeros). Recorded at Air Edel Studios, London. Studio Canal will open The Two Faces of January next April 2th.
