New from Digitmovies...
28-Sep-2015 -

Digitmovies will release, for the first time on CD, the complete score by Riz Ortolani for the comedy La Cinture Di Castita (On My Wat To The Crusades, I Met A Girl Who...).
Riz Ortolani composed a pleasant score with an amusing recurring theme emerging. It is introduced in the opening titles by an organ, wind chimes and ringing bells and is carried out by a choir of whistles (performed by the Cantori Moderni of Alessandroni).. This then develops into a rhythmic, military-like march with horns and is alternated with a romantic love theme performed by strings. C.A.M. had previously released an LP (MAG 10.006) with twelve monos with a total of 30 minutes. Thanks to the mono master tapes from the original recording session, digitmovies was able to discover unedited material. The Ortolani family gave them permission to create the complete CD with a total length of 48:28.

Digitmovies will also release a 2-CD set as a deluxe digipack edition of the original soundtracks from Luchino Visconti's movies Ludwig and Death In Venice. The edition includes three extra tracks (22,23 and 24) from the movie Ludwig.
For these movies, Visconti has chosen a classic type soundtrack with pieces of classical music by Gustav Mahler, Modesto Moussorgsky, Ludwig von Beethoven and Armando Gil. He also had the composer Franco Mannino create the transcriptions for the piano, the orchestra and other instruments for some songs by the above mentioned composers.
