FSM's September releases
16-Sep-2003 - Film Score Monthly's new limited edition CDs feature a melodic western score and a serial landmark. Wild Rovers was a 1971 western with a score by Jerry Goldsmith. This CD features the complete, Los Angeles-recorded underscore, followed by the complete London album recording and two bonus tracks, all in stereo. The second CD presents two M-G-M scores from Leonard Rosenman's groundbreaking early years. The Cobweb (1955) was Rosenman's second assignment and the first serial score written for film. Edge of the City (1957) was a black-and-white film directed by Martin Ritt. This premiere CD features the 14:33 presentation of Edge of the City, and the complete 36:41 score to The Cobweb, remixed in stereo.
