Impressive new 'Millenium Symphony' inspired by Anasazi culture of American Southwest around 1300 A.D. Haunting colors for cello and flute give way to forceful, rhytmic sections for orchestra and percussion. A major work. As extra the complete 'American Symphony' based on the score for Mr. Holland's Opus. Both works conducted by Leonard Slatkin. Knockout album!
