Delerue at his best
by a soundtrack collector
(January 7, 2006)
I bought this soundtrack 20 years ago and still enjoy listening to it. The movie is not particularly interesting, only worth seeing for the music. It is Delerue at the height of his powers as a composer. The soundtrack contains a number of very nice pieces sounding like light classical music. The title track sets the mood. "Fashion House" is a minuetto. "Various professions" is vintage Delerue, a light mandolin concerto. There are several other standout tracks. A truly great and enjoyable soundtrack!
