The great by weepstah (January 21, 2008)
This soundtrack is a must-have for anyone who enjoys Joe Jackson's music. The original LP vanished quickly after the movie flopped and was unattainable until recently, when it was released by a (I believe) Russian label. Don't be dissuaded, the CD transfer/master is excellent.
The first part features 5 songs, the second half is instrumental music. It was all recorded shortly after Night and Day, and the great group Joe had put together for that record also was present for this release. The first half features the great songs "Memphis" and "Laundromat Monday" and "Moonlight" among others. I'm partial to the extended instrumental "Zemio" on the back side.
A great soundtrack tied to a terrible movie. I recommend it to anyone, but for those who like early Joe Jackson, this is a *must*. Don't wait around, order the CD from Amazon now before it goes out of print again!
