    Much better than I imagined
by Steve Dibb (January 3, 2003)
I have this habit of wanting to get a soundtrack, and putting it off for years ... strange, but true. Home Alone was one of those that I knew, ever since I saw it in the theater as a kid, I wanted to have the soundtrack, and I knew I would enjoy it!
Well, *finally* a few months ago, I was in the store and picked it up for about $12 or something. Oh my goodness, it was amazing! The score was just as good as I knew it would be, and so much better.
One of my favorite tracks is the opening scene, with the theme song to Home Alone. I love that little ditty. :) Plus, the Christmas songs on here are great - there are two that the choir in the movie sings, and they are on the CD (O Holy Night, and Hark Herald Bells).
I also got the Home Alone 2 score, but it wasn't nearly as good -- more like variations on a theme. This one's a keeper though, and a fun favorite. :)
