Snow has the truth
by
Felipe Vásquez (September 7, 2001)
I'm not a great fan of the "X-Files" series, but I should recognize that the soundtrack of the movie caught me. Mark Snow wrote a surprising score, full with dark music and sometimes disturbing notes that fit perfectly with the line of the movie. The CD simply leaves very little time to rest. The classic main theme of six notes it's present, but not over exposed to tire. The same thing happens to other recurrent themes from the series. The opening track ("Threnody In X") and the 22 ("Pod Monster Suite") leave you breathless, with a powerful orchestra that Snow mixes with his classic electronic sounds.
