Love the Film, or Hate It--THIS SOUNDTRACK DELIVERS!!!

Superbly creepy and atonal, this paragon of 20th Century classical music delivers what many (but not me!) felt was lacking in the screenplay to the film ALIEN 3--genuine frights. Take note, this soundtrack is not for all tastes--it is thoroughly discordant, and thematically dark and foreboding, to an unremitting degree, but if you enjoy soundtracks that are as concerned with setting atmosphere and aural texture to a film as John Williams is in making instantly catchy melodies, then ALIEN 3 is nothing short of pure delight! Unfortunately, MCA Records' CD release takes the tracks out of proper chronological movie order. To program your player to simulate the film's order, follow this list: #1, #8, #6, #5, #7, #11, #12, #3, #10, #2, #9, #13, #14, #4.
