Underrated and Brilliant by A. Becker (September 19, 2004)
Giorgio Morodor's 1982 soundtrack to Paul Schrader's erotic thriller "Cat People" is a magnificent atmospheric piece of music. While there aren't many good things to be written about the film (in my opinion), the music stands in its own right. Listening to the album is a haunting experience; from the opening theme song (sang by David Bowie), through the brilliant "Irena's Theme" and "Paul's Theme" 'till the last track. Moroder proves, again, that he is a great composer, not just a disco-pop wizard.
