An awesome (if short lived) release that showcases the best of Ken Howard & Alan Blaikley
by a soundtrack collector (December 19, 2003)
A very impressive disc that contains the main suites and themes composed by (mostly) Ken Howard for the individual BBC Miss Marple stories aired from 1985-1992. Too bad it had such a limited and short release and now commands insane prices second hand. All varieties of Ken Howard & Alan Blaikleys talents turn up here. Wheather its the love theme from Moving Finger, the wonderful film star suite of Mirror Crack'd, the big band style of the Fortescue theme, the dance hall style jazz of Carribean mystery, or the dramatic action style "escapes" of Bertams Hotel and They Do It With Mirrors. This disc is a must for those rare fans of Howard & Blaikleys Miss Marple scoring.
