I am addicted to it!
by Christine Lecompte-Mahoney (December 5, 2006)
My favourite soundtrack of all time! I found it after 12 years of searching. A dream coming true.
I am addicted to it, gotta listen to it everyday.
I'm an artist, so i'm extremely emotionnal and intense. My friends think i'm crazy. I just listen to it, and i cry, and cry. Sometimes, especially with track11 "End Title", the part when the sound of the helicopter starts in the movie, i become so emotional that i forget to breathe!
It's almost sick what it does to me. But even though it makes me cry or leaves me breathless, it always fills me with feelings of joy, hope, courage and victory...
Spectacular soundtrack, exceptionally moving
by a soundtrack collector (May 23, 2006)
ALIVE is probably one of the most underrated soundtracks of all time. It was one of the first I ever bought, and many claim it "lacks a central theme". Granted, there is no sweeping orchestral "theme" in the likes of Braveheart or Glory, but there are several different themes that run through it. Each track on its own has strength and beauty, conveying the emotions of the film: missing home, tragedy, death, hope and desperation.
The thing I find the strangest about this is the fact that the track "End Titles" (rescued!) is one of the most popular cues used in movie trailers today.
Do yourself a favor and buy this right now.
