 The more I listened, the more I liked...
by a soundtrack collector (December 8, 2009)
Im not one for really going into reviewing soundtracks with emphasis on specific interests, but I got this soundtrack expecting it to be more of a kid's movie- about 10 pop songs and maybe 3 pieces of score- but surprising, even the song "Please Wake Up" (by none other than "The Phantom" himself- Michael Crawford) is underscored with intense beauty, which reminds me of other Horner scores (hey if aint broke, dont fix it!) like Cocoon, Batteries Not Included or Casper, that I dont mind the vocals. But, it course borrows from Willow and even Krull, but has its own sweeping beauty. Worthy of being in any score lovers' collection.
