Disappointing Performance
by a soundtrack collector (March 17, 2004)
Miklos Rozsa was a genius. His body of work is astounding and original to the core. Unfortunately, for this album a poorly performing group of musicians is used. They sound like a 9th grade band at an average high school. What a shame this album ever got released. I wince even thinking of the sounds on this album (the butchering of Parade of the Charioteers is unbearable). Save your money for better sources (such as the 2 disc boxed set of Ben Hur).
