Once Upon a Time in America Special Edition Track 5 Fault
On Track 5 Amapola (45 seconds in) to Morricone's "Once Upon a Time in the West" special edition reissue there is a definite click sound usually common in old analogue recordings. A guy on Amazon has noticed this also, but I'm curious if this fault occurs on earlier releases of this Score?
I want to know if its a production fault on this reissue, and whether an earlier release has it also.
Any help would be appreciated.

The original CD (without the bonus tracks) on Mercury label doesn't have the click, but I believe all the "special edition" issues have it. Apparently a production fault they didn't bother to fix. I was annoyed by this click as well.

Thanks for that; I dont mind faults on soundtrack CD's when it is down to an old recording but when a recording from the 1980s has supposedly gone through a restoration procedure and special edition release, theres just no call for it.
(Imagine the uproar if it had been a fault on a Star Wars CD)
I made an MP3 from my original CD (which I bought 1 September 2006 in the UK) and I have tried to edit the wave pattern in a Nero wave editor, but as yet I have not been able to fix it.
Thanks again
