I just noticed the link does not provide the singer's name. If it's not the guy who wrote it and who according to googling around sang it first, it's most likely Leo Sayer who made this puppy love song very popular back in the 70's and which really was my first guess. It was a big hit once and has become a classic in its own right. If I ever catch and have the patience to perch my ass and view the film, I'll recognize if it's Leo Sayer. Most likely I will fall asleep.
