DEADFALL - DVD isolated score (John Barry)

Hello,

if someone of you has bought this DVD or knows more about it, I have a few questions and would be glad if you could provide information.

a) Does the isolated score track include more of John Barry's music than the Retrograde CD?

And if you tried it:

b) Does the DVD play on Region 2 players as well? (I am asking this because that is what the 4DVD set (Region 1) of BEN-HUR does - it says "Region 1", but plays on my Region 2 player without any changed settings, too.)

Thanks!

The LP/CD comes from a fine stereo source, while the isolated music on the DVD is said to be in mono with poorer sound and fading before/after dialogues/sound effects.

However it does include music which is not on the CD and which was reportedly not available in the master that was used to create the CD, so the DVD is the only way to hear it today.

Thanks for the info.

I actually thought someone might have matched the total musical contents of the isolated score track with the CD's set, but I guess when there are many fade outs and the like, it doesn't make much sense.

Well, maybe if it comes around at a good price... ;-)

Isolated score 55:08
Official Release 40:12 but the official has a couple of tracks that weren't used in
the film so that knocks it down to around 30 minutes.
