Biography
Joel Santos is an award-winning film, video game, and television composer with a versatile style. He is most known for his work on 20th Century Fox's "Alien: Alone", whose music was well received by fans and critics alike.
Coming from a Cuban immigrant family, Joel was raised with a wide and deep love for music, spanning from that of his homeland, to rock, and even to classical and concert music work. A native to Huntington Beach, CA, he received his Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from BIOLA University. While his conservatory education prepared him with the skill and knowledge of music, his love for music was fostered by the media he grew up with. He soaked up the films and scores of John Williams, James Horner, Howard Shore, and Hans Zimmer.
Santos has worked for a variety of composers and music teams, including Gordy Haab, Benjamin Wallfisch, Dominic Lewis, Bear McCreary, Anthony Willis, and Vincent Oppido, to name a few. He has contributed to the music teams on such titles as "Fortnite", "God of War (2018)", "How To Train Your Dragon: Homecoming", and "Milo Murphy's Law".
