Biography
David Julyan was born in Cheltenham and moved to London to study at University College London, where he first worked with Christopher Nolan.

Their collaboration began with the short Larceny and progressed to the feature Following. David wrote the atmospheric score to Nolan's film Memento and has recently finished their third feature collaboration with Insomnia.

Other projects have included the feature Happy Here And Now for New York based director Michael Almereyda and various TV projects in the UK.

After rejecting conventional piano lessons at the age of eleven, David returned to music while at university, and began his musical career through experimenting with sounds and teaching himself the piano. He now works with a combination of synthesizers and traditional instruments, creating ambient soundscapes which are often inspired by literature and his work on films.
