Great News for Internet Radio Listeners

Just a quick note to let you all know that AOL.com is offering an incredible FREE radio service to soundtrack lovers. Their extensive movie score playlist includes music from the golden age (Herrmann, Newman, etc...) all the way to Zimmer ( uurrgghhhh...). The sound is crystal clear and is of CD-quality. In addition, they are very responsive to your inquiries. I requested that Bruno Coulais be added to the rotation and within two weeks, Winged Migration and Les Choristes went "on-line";.

This is not a commercial plug, just a rant from an overjoyed soundtrack lover who had nothing to listen to at work :)

For those interested in hearing film scores, you should check out www.StreamingSoundtracks.com. It has a playlist of over 50,000 tracks and even allows requests by members so you can hear what you want! Awesome site and I have discovered tons of new music there!

streamingsoundtracks.com is indeed a good site except that you have to pay a membership fee (albeit only $5/month) and the sound is not close to CD-quality (128kbs) vs FREE CD-quality sound on AOL Radio. And the kicker is that it cannot pass the firewall installed by the IT guys at work :(
