World premiere??? Looks like someone generously overlooked Tickertape's release which
contains exactly the same material. But great news though and I already ordered it!
(And no, please don't let us argue about the diverse definitions of legality!)

Can anyone determine if the Tickertape version is an LP transfer?

Hi Urs, I'm sure TT did a transfer. According to the booklet, restored and mastered - sound
quality is impeccable in my ears.

TT records is a bootleg with lousy sound...well Intrada is world premiere edition of The Last Valley.

The Tickertape CD definitely has not lousy sound. In fact it sounds really good, so much so that
I don't believe it is a LP transfer. The whole release looks genuine with copyright warnings and a
barcode. It says; 'Original tapes and tracks mastered and restored by using CEDAR Computer
Systems'. I was tricked into believing this was a real release. Anyway, I won't buy the Intrada
release, any improvement in sound will probably be lost on my average soundsystem. The
original artwork is nothing to get excited about, such ugly illustration work!

At last a release of this...though i must admit i am saturated with this soundtrack...which i adore.
Having got the original' Promotional Use Only'Dunhill LP soundtrack here in NZ. in the 70's , in a second hand record shop and then the MCA Japanese LP release in London Dean St store....and the TT version on CD..ok...quality...and Silva Screen attempt and now the Intrada with original artwork....talk about overkill on a soundtrack...but my favourite Barry score.
Yep a nutter collector.lol.

The TT release is definitely a boot transfer from LP, but its one of the better I've heard. I don't know how anyone can say it sounds lousy! I too am wondering whether to buy this new release, if simply for new artwork. The sound won't be that much better than the TT release!
