New Varese Release Of The Burbs!

So they've done it again. Why? What about Gremlins? Apparently the Burbs has ONLY had 30 minutes released. Yeah and what about Gremlins a pathetic 14 minute release which it had to share with the crappy songs! And don't even get me started on Back To The Future, The Goonies, Fright Night, Innerspace, Sugarland Express, etc, etc.

I, for one, am glad they have released the Burbs - this was one soundtrack I wanted - though I could pick it up from eBay or Amazon the prices were way inflated - amounts I certainly weren't prepared to pay.

I was disappointed by the Varese releases, though I do understand many are over joyed - great - but I was personally hoping for an expanded Gremilns - this is one soundtrack that is a real favourite so I had my hopes.........

................some are happier than others but I guess it goes to show no one can pleae everyone all of the time......let's just hope our turn comes around in the near future.

So Varese - Back to the Future, Gremilns, Eyes of Laura Mars, The Black Hole and Jaws 3D - these all need a good quality CD release....

....................PLEASE!!!! :o)

Are you complaining because they dont release the scores you need? Grow up, please.

yes, they are complaining. what is wrong about that? does it mean, that only kids can complain and grownups can't?

thousands of score-lovers email varese every day regarding wishes for club releases. many of them wish for back to the future, me as well, and gremlins.

so what's wrong about complaining anyway?

Just a sidenote, Varese don`t hold the Gremlins licence anymore.

I am not complaining, in fact, the first Burbs score was way too short and I am happy they did a complete score now. It is a little masterpiece by Jerry Goldsmith after all. And I am also thrilled they came up with Les miserables by North. I never expected it and the music is great. I saw the film and remember the score.
Of course, there is a lot to wish for. But since Varese has to make a living on these CDs as well, they choose carefully. And I never bought crap music in the club series.

Enjoy the music,

I have to say that I wasn't complaining, nor do I believe anyone else were. We were simply pointing out the soundtracks we'd truly like to see.

I have personally noted some are overjoyed with the releases, I have no grudge against that and I 'm pleased, as a fellow collector, that these people have found what they want. In fact I can now purchase The Burbs at a more reasonable price and to top that with a deluxe edition. I'm happy.......

......................I don't moan nor do I complain.....I just want to be spoilt like everyone else! ;o)

then email intrada, FSM and all the other labels with your cd wishes, but not blame VARESE. I find it silly.

falcsanz, July 3, 2007; 2:33 PM

Varese have not been blamed for anything. This thread has been about discussion about hopes that, maybe, this record label will (if they can) release the mentioned titles.

I would regard what is written about Varese as a positive result since it displays a lot of belief in the quality of work Varese puts out - sadly it is people like you that seem to be able to turn a positive into a negative. Shame.

If you read between the lines.
Mr. Townson said: "...As of 2007, the Musician Union rules have changed in this neighborhood.."
So think about UNIVERSAL!

You have to be patient!
BTW I'm satisfied with the new batch!

Next batch:
Link - The Deluxe Edition
Boys From Brazil - The Deluxe Edition
Alien - The Ultimate Deluxe Edition
S*P*Y*S - The Deluxe Edition
The Final Option - The Deluxe Edition

What an idea to my wallet:)
