Question about "The Burbs" Deluxe Edition release

Hello,

I always wonder when the "Deluxe" or "Complete" releases are released. Do you think that the labels had all this material from the beginning or are the new tracks newly discovered? I have no idea. I'd like to think that if they could have released all the music the first time, they would.

Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

I'm sure they did have the whole score, but many times they are at the mercy of the Musicians Union which requires fees to be paid for every minute of music released (to pay the musicians involved). A soundtrack label would have gone bankrupt trying to release a complete score the first time around with all the hefty fees attached. But the really good news is that as of 2007 the Union fees have been cut drastically for music that is pressed in small numbers (like soundtrack releases) so we can now expect to see a lot more complete or expanded scores in the future.
