In my opinion, the re-recording is very good.
The performance is top-notch and so is the recording.
Although (or because?) it's shorter than the original
released by Rhino, it's a real pleasure to listen to.

I like the Ottman score. It's very well mixed. If the Debney score is anything the same, I think I'll purchase it.

That's why I did NOT like the Ottman score for Superman Returns....it sounded like it was 90% John Williams' original themes, with not a whole lot of original music by Ottman. Just rehashed music. For the first SUPERMAN movie in 18 years, Ottman should have come up with something fresh that was 100% original (except, perhaps, for using the Superman theme march).

Kind of missing the point here. The idea is the film is a continuation of the Donner movies, so Williams' themes are used. Themes. And there's a lot of original music in there.

I disagree....and what's wrong with one's own point-of-view on something? I did NOT like the Ottman score and had wanted something new, fresh and ORIGINAL.....not just a rehash of the Williams music.

I just received this CD in the mail this week! And after listenning to it only a little bit, I can say I LIKE IT! Very well mixed and clean sounding. Missing a few tracks I would have liked to see re-recorded, but nothing too dissapointing!
