MV first stated it would be remastered. Most recently he stated that it is exactly the same, just with new artwork and notes. So it appears the answer is "not remastered".

But if the Numenorean release is a 2CD-set then there must be more music there than on the Lala Land CD, yes ?

Yes, as I said the Lalaland release only covers the FIRST cd... but it's a more "easy listening" experience than the 2 CD-set... but in your case, if you have the 2 CD-set, you don't need to bother buying this Lalaland release, especially as it's exactly the same.
(Shame it didn't get remastered, though)

I'd rather have the 2-CD version. I don't see the problem with having "too much" music, you can always skip over the tracks or turn it off.
