Does A Christmas Story Score/Soundtrack EXIST?
Was wondering if a score to A Christmas Story (starring Peter Billingsly in 1983) exists?
I am interested in trying to find this.
Thanks,
Jeremy

Me too. But no it doesn't.
If you don't own it already, you could get a recording of Ferde Grofe's "Grand Canyon Suite", which is the music for Ralphie during his "as long as I've got old blue" fantasy. Great stuff!

No, but there is a promo CD, "The Sounds of Zaza" "(Cherry Lane Music Publishing Company) that has one cue on it.
I contacted Carl Zittrer by e-mail to ask about it, and he said the studio wanted to make a CD, but here we are years later and ... NO CD.
Why? Maybe no label wants to do it, I guess. If the e-mail is still good, I am going to again inquire about.

There´s maybe a chance for a release, it´s at least a MGM title.

A CD was finally released in 2008 and is available exclusively(?) on-line from A Christmas Story House Gift Shop: http://tinyurl.com/8a2yml
And here's an interview with co-composer Paul Zaza:
