Hello,
Is there a substantial difference in the sound quality between the Ticker Tape cd and the The Intrada Release?
Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

Hi David,
I never had any problems with the sound quality of Ticker Tape's CD.
The new release by Intrada sounds even clearer and more dynamic, although the tonal
balance puts a bit too much emphasis on the trebles. TT's CD has an overall warmer sound.

Hello Coma,
Thank you for answering my post. I do consider you our resident expert on John Barry scores. I also wanted to ask you, Which Barry score would you like the August 7th Intrada release to be? Just curious.
Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

Hi David,
Thank you very much for your kindness, but that's too much honour for me.
As for your question, regarding Barry scores this is quite difficult. Either they are already
released, or not. I doubt that there's still much unused material to unearth to grace an
expanded re-release. (Except perhaps "Dances With Wolves".. ;-)))
Personally, I would love to see an official release of the original score for "Robin & Marian", as
well as remastered CDs for "Quiller Memorandum" and "Jagged Edge". Speaking of yet
unreleased scores, my favourite would be "Hanover Street". But none of them is likely to
appear on Intrada's - or anyone else's - schedule.
Cheerz,
David

Did Barry write an actual score for DUTCHMAN or is the powerful theme the only music for this 1967 Anthony Harvey production? Since the film is based on a two-character play I assume it could have gone without much music, but I have never seen it (very obscure movie). - John Bender
