Label discographies on WIKIPEDIA

Hi fellow aficionados,

There's something new on Wikipedia: discographies of soundtrack labels. The most complete
to date is the page related to FSM, but there are others too - Prometheus, LaLaLand,
Varèse... and there's sure more to come.

Just check the links on the bottom of the page:

It's interesting to see, how many titles are still NOT sold out.. ;-)

Enjoy,

David

It's actually quite cool to have in addition to SC's database listings which can be just as informative and with pics.

I like the way they designate the titles under Golden or Silver Age like it had been done in FSM's original website.

Actually the FSM in wiki is not that complete.

The first Retrograde promotional pressing of Pelham by David Shire is not listed.

I would love to have this one in addition to the second release and have them combined. I have not yet found a copy.

Also, even though not produced by FSM, it was great that they somehow had made available "Enter The Dragon", "The Wild Bunch" and "The Exorcist" soundtracks found in those special edition Warner boxes. Whatever limited copies they had sold out fast for obvious reasons.

Hi seri,

of course, it's not complete yet. Like you, I noticed the missing Pelham release. Although it's a
composer promo, they should have included it. If you like the score, I can only recommend you
to get hold of this CD, which occasionally turns up on eBay. It's somehow rougher, has a much
better cover design! ;-)

Definitely!... The cover design on the promo release is way better.

Today I was actually looking at eBay and Amazon for this one unfortunately with no success.

I stumbled though on this LP version release from 2001 not even mentioned here in SC's database I had no idea it existed which contains the same tracks as the promo.

Hey, that's a discovery, seri! I never heard of a vinyl edition before. It even has a completely
different cover:

I've checked around a little, but the only copy of the promo CD I could locate is priced at 54
€... :-((

I did not check movie grooves. Isn't this something.

54 euro is not cheap when you think it could have been purchased back then for 17 bucks. Where did you find it for 54 euro? It's okay if you prefer to keep the info to yourself.

PS

I think the covers with each release keep getting worse and worse.

Do you think so? I'd prefer the cover art of the vinyl release, which refers to the original film
poster, to the actual Retrograde edition.

(I've sent you a mail!)

The first pressing is a bit cartoon like as in the Italian releases which I like.
