Question

Probs with FSM anyone?

Hi. Has anyone else out these had problems joining the FSM messageboards or is it just me. I tried to join up over a year ago, but in spite of numerous emails to all and sundry they never bothered to join me up. Usualy I would persist, but i was so hacked off I gave up. Yesterday I though i would make another go over - and lo and behold, problems again. I am currently in limbo awaiting a reply - as i was over a year ago (and one never came).

You're not alone, buddy. These problems have been there for years and persist. I tried to join around 2001 or so, and never succeeded before autumn 2004. Numerous members here have said they tried to join unsuccessfully, too.

I tried all sorts of different email addresses, all sorts of browsers and even both Mac OS X as well as Windows, but nothing made a difference. Why eventually I succeeded in October 2004, I have no clue.

Regards,

Urs

Perhaps you forgot to say Luke's Prayer?

Maybe the FSM board automatically rejects those with poor taste in film music. :-P

Ahahahaha...just kidding, guys! ;-)

Seriously, though, I joined the FSM message board in Dec. '06 without any hassles. Not sure what could be causing this unfortunate phenomena. Don't give up, though. It's an...interesting forum, to say the least, and and it'd be great to see you guys posting over there (in addition to here, of course).

I wonder why that is?

I never had problems with signing up but sometimes I have problems log in. I don't know if it is FSM's website or something here with my provider.

Perhaps you can call your internet provider and ask them what is going on.

As a matter of fact, the FSM message board is notoriously glitchy and is freqently down for short periods of time...and as for the forum search engine, well, I've found that it's practically useless.

I can only take FSM in small doses.

It seems that there are prowlers on the lookout who just love to senselessly disagree and shred others to pieces for the sake of disagreeing and shredding.

A.N. you almost got bashed for posting your "Daydreamer" thread.

I was there for support. ;-)

FSM's forum is... B-I-G and can be too much at times (reading wise) yet interesting and informative with some folks who know their stuff with so called 'celebrities' (at least they think they are) coming and going, and lots of annoyingly juvenille and egocentric petty pointless arguing in between...

I guess one has to look at the funny side of things.

You couldn't be more right, seri.

Yeah, sometimes posting at FSM is like lining up in front of a firing squad, like when I voiced my discontent about the CDs being sold through Joe Harnell's official website actually being CD-Rs (including the recent INCREDIBLE HULK EPISODIC COLLECTION VOL.1 release), which is the thread that I believe serifiot was referring to:

P.S. serifiot, what's your user ID on FSM? captain x? ...and thanks for backing me up, dude!

American.Nightmare, July 28, 2007; 10:03 PM

That's the thread.

serifiot, July 28, 2007; 10:15 PM

...so are you captain x or am I mistaken?

American.Nightmare, July 28, 2007; 10:22 PM

...fooled you! :- ))))))
